Ojol Driver Dies After Falling Then Hit by a Motorcycle in Palmerah
JAKARTA - An online motorcycle taxi (ojol) driver named Muhammad Chesta Adabi (19) was killed in an accident on Jalan KH. Taisyir, Palmerah, West Jakarta, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, evening.
Head of the Law Enforcement Unit (Kanit Gakkum) of the West Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Joko Siswanto when contacted in Jakarta, Wednesday morning, said the incident occurred at around 21.30 WIB because the driver allegedly lost control.
"(The victim) could not control the speed of the vehicle so that it fell to the right, then was hit by a motorcycle (another)," said Joko.
Initially, said Joko, the victim was traveling on Jalan KH. Taisyir from north to south by riding a motorcycle with the police number B-3989-VTA.
"Upon arrival near the Migas III Complex, Palmerah, West Jakarta, the victim could not control the speed of his motorcycle so he fell to the right," said Joko.
After falling, the victim was hit by a motorcycle with an unknown registration number and identity of the driver, which was traveling in the opposite direction of the victim.
"So there was a traffic accident, resulting in the victim having a head injury, torn, bleeding to death at the crime scene," said Joko.
Now, the victim's body has been evacuated to the Tangerang Regency Hospital.
