Mocca to Amelia Ong will appear at Jazz Gunung Slamet 2026, June 27

JAKARTA - Jazz Gunung Indonesia as a promoter, again brings its flagship event, the Jazz Gunung Series, to the foot of Mount Slamet which is located in Banyumas, Central Java.

Through the official Instagram account, the promoter announced that the Gunung Slamet Jazz event will be held at Wana Wisata Baturaden, Banyumas, on June 27.

"The 2026 Gunung Jazz Series series officially begins, a fresh look is our spirit to start a journey to celebrate jazz, culture, and the beauty of nature," the promoter wrote in the upload description.

Until this article was written, the promoter had revealed three names that would appear in the 2026 Gunung Slamet Jazz, namely Mocca, Amelio Ong, and Nonaria.

As for Mocca, an indie-pop band from Bandung that was formed in 1997, they are known for their sweet pop, jazz, and swing-influenced music style with typical and cheerful English lyrics. They stand out with their retro identity and songs with themes of love, everyday life, and light but inherent imagination.

Since the debut album My Diary (2002), Mocca has managed to penetrate the international market, especially in Japan and Southeast Asia, and to this day remains consistent as one of Indonesia's independent music icons with a cross-generational fan base.

Meanwhile, Amelia Ong is a jazz singer born in Purwokerto who is known for her warm vocal character, mature singing technique, and elegant and classy interpretation of songs. She often performs jazz standards, pop jazz, and classic songs with a personal approach.

Active on various music stages, festivals, and cross-genre collaborations, Amelia Ong is also known as a figure who consistently maintains the jazz tradition while presenting it in a relevant and easily accepted package by today's listeners.

Next, Nonaria is a Jakarta-based music duo known for their exploration of pop music with a vintage touch, jazz, and warm easy listening.
