Marc Anthony Speaks Up After His Name Is Mentioned in Brooklyn Beckham's Confession

JAKARTA - Singer Marc Anthony made a statement after his name was mentioned in Brooklyn Beckham's statement about his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. Anthony's name was associated with Brooklyn's wedding moment and his wife, which made him embarrassed.

Launching THR, Marc Anthony said the Beckham family was a fun family so it was a shame with Brooklyn's claim.

"I have nothing to say with that family. They are a fun family. I've known them before their children were born," said Marc Anthony.

"I am the guardian of Cruz, very close to the family. But I have nothing to say with what happened. It's a shame what happened," he said.

Monday, January 19 local time, Brooklyn wrote a post on Instagram Story to explain the conflict between himself and his parents.

"I've been silent for years and made this a private matter, but unfortunately my parents and his team always go to the media so I have no choice but to speak up," wrote Brooklyn Beckham.

"I don't want to make peace with my family. I'm not in control, I'm defending myself for the first time in my life. My whole life, my parents controlled the narrative in the media," he said.

Brooklyn also made claims that the mother cut the first dance moment between him and Nicola. According to him, Brooklyn was called by Marc Anthony to get on stage.

"My mom waited to dance with me. She danced inappropriately in front of everyone. I felt uncomfortable for the first time in my life," Brooklyn wrote again.

Brooklyn's parents, David and Victoria Beckham, have not commented on the claims made by their son.
