HarmonyOS 2.0 Ready To Launch, Here's A Line Of Compatible Phones

JAKARTA - After a long development process, Huawei is finally ready to launch the latest version of HarmonyOS 2.0 today, Wednesday, May 2. According to the plan, the launch will be done globally.

It's just that, only a select few devices will display the OS update menu, to replace the EMUI settings made based on Android.

Launching Gizmochina, some of the devices that received the update were the Mate X2, Mate 40, Mate 40 RS, Mate 40 Pro, and MatePad Pro. Not only that, the Chinese technology giant also provided updates to the Nova 8 to Nova 8 Pro, Huawei P40, P40 Pro Plus, and P40 Pro.

Some new devices also get an update quota. It's just that, only a small number of the latest devices can be updated with this OS.

Huawei targets that its new version of the operating system will be used by 250 million devices in the world by the end of 2021. The company also targets phones that previously used the Android operating system as targets for OS updates.

Distributed Globally

Based on information obtained by GSMArena, it is estimated that HarmonyOS will be present for the first time for the Chinese market. However, if you look at the company's targets, it seems that other regions will also receive updates without having to wait long.

Through this step, it appears the company's efforts to slow down the release process. It is clear that the slow update process is a strategy for early users to report bugs or errors to the operating system.

However, Huawei has not shared official information regarding the latest version of this homemade operating system. Therefore, it's worth waiting a few hours until the company launches this new operating system.
