Police Reveal Zombie Liquid Distribution Syndicate via Tanjung Priok Port
JAKARTA - The Tanjung Priok Port Police dismantled a syndicate that made electric cigarette cartridges containing zombie liquid containing the International network drug etomidate on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
"This disclosure is a tangible form of our commitment to eradicating the circulation and abuse of drugs in accordance with the asta cita program number 7 of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, on strengthening the prevention and eradication of drugs," said the Head of the Tanjung Priok Port Police, AKBP Aris Wibowo when confirmed.
The Police Chief explained that the disclosure of this network began with information from the community regarding the circulation of narcotics. Then the Narcotics Team personnel conducted an investigation.
"We managed to secure 1 suspect with the initials R (35) in one of the hotels in West Jakarta," he said.
The evidence seized was a black bag containing 333 cigarette cartridges that had been packaged with 3 brands, namely Ferrari, LV, and Mercedes. The cartridge contains a liquid containing a type II narcotic etomidate.
Suspect R admitted to receiving 5,139 pcs of etomidate type 2 narcotic containing e-cigarette cartridges in the Jambi area on December 10, 2025.
The suspect then distributed a total of 4,806 pcs to several people in the Jakarta area and its surroundings at the order of someone with the initials K (DPO). The suspect admitted that he was promised a wage of Rp. 30 million.
"We secured 333 cartridge pods of e-cigarettes containing narcotics of type 2 etomidate," he said.
The police continue to develop the case through the suspect's communication tools and managed to arrest 3 other suspect networks with initials RP (32), MR (25) and M (37) at the Kalibata City apartment, South Jakarta.
From the three of them, 1 green suitcase was confiscated which contained 5,095 pcs of e-cigarette cartridges containing clear liquid narcotic type 2 of etomidate, 1 unit of white chevrolet captiva type car, 1 (one) unit of nissan type x-trail car with the ignition key, 8 (eight) units of mobile phones, 1 (one) passport book, 1 (one) stnk, 1 (one) plane ticket from kuala lumpur malaysia to kualanamu medan north sumatra.
"Based on the suspect's statement, the evidence entered Indonesian territory through the city of Tanjung Balai in North Sumatra province. Then it was brought to Jakarta by land and handed over to suspect R to be distributed in the Jakarta area and its surroundings," he said.
"We will continue to investigate this network, including coordinating with PPATK to trace financial transactions to develop intellectual actors and seize the assets of the suspects," he added.
The suspect was charged with Article 119 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, in the case of offering to sell, sell, buy, become an intermediary in the sale and purchase, exchange, surrender, or receive narcotics group 2 as referred to in paragraph (1) in the form of non-plant weighing more than 5 (five) grams is threatened with the death penalty, life imprisonment, or a minimum prison sentence of 5 (five) years and a maximum of 20 (twenty) years and a maximum fine of 8 billion rupiah.
