L8 New Model Sent to Consumer Garages Starting April 2026

JAKARTA - The Lepas L8 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) is confirmed to start being delivered to consumers in April 2026. The model from the Lepas sub-brand, which is under the umbrella of the Chery Group, has even received orders since its debut at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week.

Targeting middle to upper-class consumers, the Lepas L8 appears as an SUV with a different character from Chery's product line in general. Luxury nuances are the main focus, seen from the unconventional color choices and give a unique impression in its segment.

"We will send (Lepas L8 to consumers) in April. Including the same (reservations) previously in GJAW 2025," said Head of Lepas Indonesia Sales Muhammad Alif Aldilla, at the Indonesia International Motor Show, not long ago.

Although he has not revealed the number of orders that have been booked since the launch, Alif confirmed that the market's response to Lepas L8 was quite positive. This enthusiasm became capital for Lepas to accelerate the strengthening of the sales and after-sales network in the country.

According to Alif, the existence of dealers and the availability of spare parts are still crucial factors for consumers before deciding to buy a car. Therefore, Lepas also presents a showroom concept with a different approach to confirm its position as a premium brand.

"There are several outlets offering a more personal experience such as Nail Art," he said.

Currently, Lepas has operated three dealers, starting with its first outlet in the world located in Kelapa Gading. In the future, Lepas targets to open at least 40 dealers throughout 2026 so that the consumer reach is wider and the brand is better known in the national market.
