Jasa Marga Targets Reduction in the Level of Damage to Managed Toll Roads Before Ramadan 2026

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk targets a reduction in road damage on toll roads managed before the momentum of Ramadan 2026.

Jasa Marga President Director Rivan Achmad Purwantono admitted that the current pothole roads are still a serious problem on a number of toll roads.

Due to this condition, he also apologized to all road users and promised to complete the repairs in the near future.

"We apologize if there is any inconvenience due to holes in the toll road. But it happens in all Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT), which means it's not just (toll managed by) Jasa Marga," said Rivan in a press conference for the Travoy Mobile Apps at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, quoted Tuesday, February 10.

"This is because the rain is quite long and the load of vehicles is beyond what it should be. That's why there is an issue of Over Dimension Over Loading (ODOL). It's not because of the quality, but it's the load," he continued.

According to Rivan, repairs have begun since the damage increased due to rain occurring almost two weeks in a row.

"When yesterday the holes were rampant because of the rain for almost two weeks, we have started to handle it," he said.

In the handling process, Jasa Marga applies two repair schemes according to the level of damage.

For minor damage, quick patching is carried out, while heavy damage is carried out by re-coating or overlay.

"There are minor repairs that we can immediately deal with and those who have to use overlay," said Rivan.

Currently, around 60 percent of the damage points have been repaired.

"We target next week or starting Ramadan, the number of holes has shrunk. If it is not repaired quickly, it will continue to increase," he explained.

Furthermore, Rivan ensured that all toll roads would be in optimal condition when entering the upcoming Lebaran homecoming period.

"Ahead of the homecoming, we ensure that all roads are functioning well for the community," he concluded.
