Present Two Electrification Models L8 and E4 at IIMS, After Carrying the Concept of Modern Premium

JAKARTA - The new automotive brand Lepas officially debuted in Indonesia through the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2026 by presenting two models of electrified vehicles, namely Lepas L8 and Lepas E4. This presence marks the initial step of Lepas as a premium New Energy Vehicle (NEV) brand under the auspices of the Chery Group in the national market.

After carrying out a premium approach that is claimed to be more personal and relevant to modern lifestyles. This brand carries the philosophy of "Drive Your Elegance", which emphasizes the balance between design, technology, and comfort in the driving experience.

Head of Marketing Lepas Indonesia, Arga Simanjuntak, said that modern consumers define premium not only as visual luxury, but also a sense of calm, comfort, and confidence when driving.

"The existing model we designed to support the rhythm of daily life, with an expressive, functional, and effortless design from the first use," said Arga in an official statement, Tuesday, February 10.

The L8 model is built on the LEX Platform and has a 2,800 mm wheelbase, which is said to be the largest in its class. The vehicle is equipped with a number of comfort features, such as Active Fragrance, Multifunctional Seat with eight massage modes and three-level ventilation, as well as 9-Layer Comfort Seating with premium materials.

Meanwhile, the Lepas E4 carries the Leopard Aesthetics design concept inspired by the leopard character. This model features a streamlined silhouette with sharp lines and balanced proportions, which represents the direction of Lepas' future design through the tagline "The Signature of Lepas Design".

In addition to showcasing products, Lepas also held a discussion entitled Smart Elegance Mobility Talk Show with the theme "When Comfort Becomes the New Elegance" during IIMS 2026. The event discusses the relationship between automotive design, fashion, and modern lifestyle.

Fashion designer and representative of Miss Universe Indonesia 2025, Yosafat Dwi Kurniawan, assessed the design approach of Lepas in line with the principle of elegance in the world of fashion. "Elegance is born when the design feels comfortable, functional, and reflects the wearer's character. This principle is also seen in Lepas, where the mature details make the driving experience feel more confident in everyday life," he said.
