Food Station is Ready to Supply Raw Materials for MBG
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has officially collaborated with the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) to succeed the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program. This synergy was confirmed through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung and the Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana at the City Hall, Monday, February 9.
Governor Pramono emphasized the involvement of BUMD in this MBG program to ensure that the absorption of raw materials for MBG kitchens will not interfere with food stocks in DKI Jakarta. In fact, according to Pramono, this cooperation provides benefits for BUMD Jakarta due to the certainty of demand and purchase.
"We believe that there will be no shortage in the field because BUMD in Jakarta already has a long and extraordinary experience. We have calculated that this cooperation is very beneficial for BUMD because of the certainty of purchase with a clear scheme," said Pramono.
Full Support for Food StationPT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya (Perseroda), as one of the food BUMD owned by the DKI Provincial Government, expressed its readiness to support the implementation of the MBG program in Jakarta.
President Director of PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya (Perseroda), Dodot Tri Widodo, said Food Station has long experience in supplying and distributing large-scale food needs.
"Food Station fully supports this cooperation as part of our mandate to maintain food security. Food Station has experience in strategic programs, ranging from the organization of cheap markets, distribution of social assistance during the pandemic, even to the present, Food Station provides food commodities in the subsidized cheap food program of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, so that our distribution system is very ready," said Dodot.
Dodot ensured that although food demand would increase as the MBG program progressed, the stability of supply for Jakarta residents remained the top priority. This is crucial, given the challenge of basic needs that usually soar ahead of the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.
"Don't worry, the supply of raw materials for the Free Nutritious Meal Program will not interfere with the stock of the regular food needs of Jakarta residents. We ensure that the stability of supply and price is maintained," he said.
"We are aware that the demand for basic needs will increase significantly before and during Ramadan until Eid al-Fitr. Therefore, stock management is carried out carefully and balanced so that the needs of the MBG program and the needs of the community are met simultaneously," he concluded.
