The process of transferring the Martabe Mine to Perminas, Rosan promises transparency

JAKARTA - Minister of Investment and Industrialization/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Perkasa Roeslani spoke up about the transfer of PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) to Perminas.

Rosan said that in order to obtain a complete and balanced understanding, the Investment and Industrialization Ministry/BKPM has held meetings and communications with the Management of PT Agincourt Resources as part of the process of clarification and constructive dialogue.

"In addition, the development of the results of the study and cross-agency coordination has been reported directly to the President of the Republic of Indonesia as a form of accountability and information delivery within the framework of the Government's comprehensive policymaking," said Rosan in a statement to the media, Monday, February 9.

Rosan also said that the Investment and Industrialization Ministry/BKPM had also received and reviewed the Clarification Letter from PT Agincourt Resources which contained an explanation regarding the Hydrological and Operational Environment Aspects and Compliance with the Provisions of the Area.

"Along with that, the Ministry continues to coordinate with the Forest Area Control Task Force and K/L in order to further discuss, to ensure that all processes run in accordance with the legal corridor and applicable legal provisions, prioritizing the principles of justice, accountability, and transparency," he continued.

He added that every policy and decision would be taken carefully, transparently, and based on the law, while maintaining certainty and confidence in the national investment climate.

"The Ministry of Investment and Industrialization/BKPM believes that legal certainty is the main foundation in building trust and long-term mutually beneficial partnerships between the government and investors, both from within and outside the country," said Rosan.
