The Provincial Committee of Compact Kickboxing Demanded the Cancellation of the Decree of the 2026 National Committee

JAKARTA - The Provincial Management (Pengprov) of Kickboxing is compact in demanding the cancellation of the decision letter (SK) of the organizing committee of the 2026 National Congress (Munas) because it is considered not in accordance with the Organization's Articles of Association and House of Representatives (AD/ART).

The demand was agreed upon in the National Silaturahmi (Silatnas) of the General Chairman of the Kickboxing Province of Indonesia entitled "Return the Kickboxing Organization in accordance with the Marwah AD/ART" which took place at the Luwansa Hotel, Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Monday, February 9, 2026.

The Chairman of the Training and Achievement of the Indonesian Kickboxing Central Management (PP KBI) and the General Chairman of the Kickboxing Maluku Provincial Committee, Albertus Fenanlampir, said that the committee for the National Congress was formed incorrectly so that it had to be canceled.

"That there should be signs that must be passed. It is necessary to discuss through a plenary session and accommodate various regional interests so that the committee is representative of all kickboxing members," he said.

The decision letter in question is Number 05/PP KBI/I/2026 regarding the composition of the National Congress committee. The committee's composition is considered to be dominated only by managers from Jakarta so that it does not represent all provincial managers in Indonesia.

Albertus said that all provincial managers who participated in the National Silaturahmi hoped that the formation of the Munas committee would be more democratic and represent all kickboxing managers from the region.

"So, we hope that the Chairman of the PP KBI will immediately review the decision so that we can re-form a new joint committee to prepare for the upcoming National Congress," he said.

The provincial leaders who attended the National Silaturahmi agreed to give the General Chairman of the PP KBI 3 x 24 hours to review the decision letter to be revised or revoked.

Albertus emphasized that if their request was not heeded by the deadline set, they would take steps to hold an Extraordinary General Meeting (Munaslub) to save the organization.

"We really hope that within this 3 x 24 hour period, the PP KBI can take strategic steps in accordance with our expectations so that the name of the consolidation of the re-establishment of the committee is done together," he said.

In addition to the problematic committee composition, one candidate for chairman of the general election who has registered is also considered to have violated the organization's provisions, in particular, not meeting the minimum requirement of having served as a provincial administrator or general manager for at least two years.

The General Chair of the Riau Islands Kickboxing Provincial Committee, Yakop Sutjipto, said that for this reason, the provincial management held a national gathering with the aim of bringing the organization to run in accordance with the provisions of the AD/ART constitution.

"Nothing more and nothing less, there is no desire for us to leave than that, where we want to lead together with other friends of the Provincial Committee, together with other managers, to bring this kickboxing forward to become better," he said.

The management of the Indonesian Kickboxing Central Management (PP KBI) will currently end in April 2026. Therefore, the National Congress was held to elect a new general chairman for the next four years.
