Maher Zain Treats 10 Years of Nostalgia with the Album Back To You which is Released in Stages During Ramadan

JAKARTA - Religious singer Maher Zain finally put an end to the long wait of his fans around the world. Through the Awakening Music label, the Swedish musician of Lebanese descent announced the launch of his latest studio album titled "Back To You".

This work is a special momentum because it is Maher Zain's first full album in the last decade.

Even though he has been active for the past ten years in producing singles such as "Rahmatun Lil'Alameen" and "Qalbi Fil Madinah", the presence of a new album brings a different dimension.

The album contains 16 songs that explore Maher Zain's artistic development by combining Arabic and English songwriting elements, as well as enriched with a strong North African rhythm touch.

Zain said the album's title is a representation of his personal spiritual journey in recent years. He wants to present a work that feels honest and is able to touch the deepest part of each listener, especially when entering the holy month.

"This album is titled 'Back To You' because at its core it talks about coming back - back to God, to sincerity, to purpose, and to things that really matter," Zain said in a statement, Monday, February 9.

"In recent years, I have grown personally and spiritually, and this project reflects that journey," he continued.

The creative process of this album is quite ambitious by involving an international songwriting camp held in various countries, ranging from Morocco, Turkey, Sweden, to Indonesia.

Zain also collaborated with a number of names such as Harris J and his loyal collaborator, Bara Kherigi, to ensure the quality of qualified music.

Interestingly, the strategy for launching this album is carried out gradually to match the spiritual rhythm of Ramadan.

Starting in early February, Zain will release a new song every Thursday. The culmination, all the songs in the album "Back To You" will be available in full on various digital platforms in early April.

Managing Director of Awakening Music, Bara Kherigi, explained that this release pattern was deliberately designed so that each song has room to be absorbed by the listener.

"We were very careful in designing the way it was released. Instead of rushing, we designed 'Back To You' as a journey - which is revealed week by week as Ramadan, giving each song the space, meaning, and respect it deserves," said Kherigi.

The songs in this album raise themes that are very relevant to the current human condition, such as dependence on God in loneliness, love for the Prophet Muhammad SAW, to longing for guidance and mercy.
