NTB Police Store Identity of Supplier of Opium to Head of Narcotics AKP Malaungi
MATARAM - Head of Public Relations of the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (NTB) Kombes Mohammad Kholid stated that his party had already obtained the identity of the supplier of crystal methamphetamine to the Head of Narcotics Investigation of the Bima City Police AKPMalaungi.
"According to information, (evidence) was obtained from a dealer with the initials KE," said Kholid, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 5.
By obtaining the identity of the supplier, Kholid stated that his party was committed to uncovering this issue to its fullest by dismantling the entire distribution network involving AKP Malaungi.
"So, the evidence that is on him, while being developed, from the supplier to the others by the Narcotics Directorate," he said.
The development also led to the Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro as the superior of AKP Malaungi.
"Regarding the Bima City Police Chief, he is still in the process of deepening and the Propam Sector investigation process. Meanwhile, no investigation (drug case) has been carried out, but Bidpropam will conduct an investigation," he said.
AKP Malaungi was arrested with evidence of 488 grams of methamphetamine. The methamphetamine was secured from the AKP Malaungi's official residence located in the Bima City Police Dormitory complex.
AKP Malaungi was revealed to be in the drug trafficking network based on the development of information from the arrest of Bripka Karol along with his wife and two colleagues with evidence of tens of grams of marijuana and tens of millions of cash allegedly the result of transactions.
Now, AKP Malaungi has been a suspect and has been sanctioned with Dismissal Without Honor (PTDH) or dismissal according to the decision of the Code of Ethics for the Police Profession which was held this Monday afternoon.
For the status of the suspect in the drug case, AKP Malaungi was charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics jo. Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code jo. Law Number 1 of 2026 concerning Criminal Adjustment, or Article 609 paragraph (2) letter a of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code jo. Law Number 1 of 2026 concerning Criminal Adjustment.
