Called to Receive DJKA Project Fee, Lasarus and Dozens of Members of Commission V of the DPR Have the Opportunity to Be Called by the KPK

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) stated that the possibility of summoning a number of members of Commission V of the DPR for the period 2019-2024 in the case of bribery of the railway construction project in the Director General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) is open.

Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK, Asep Guntur Rahayu, said that the summons would be carried out according to the needs of investigators when completing the file of Sudewo, a former member of Commission V of the DPR who had been named a suspect.

In the trial of the DJKA bribery case in 2025, the name of Lasarus, who served as Chairman of Commission V of the DPR, had appeared as a party suspected of receiving money flows. He is said to have asked for a fee of 10 percent of the project.

In addition, there are also 18 names of members of Commission V of the DPR for the period 2019-2024 from various factions who are suspected of enjoying fees. They include Ridwan Bae, Hamka Baco Kady to Sadarestuwati.

"If it's related to the case, of course we will ask anyone for information. Because the information provided by the witnesses will strengthen the evidence for us," Asep told reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, February 9.

"So when the witness is called, of course we want information related to the handling of the case we are handling," he continued.

In addition, Asep also said that the investigation to complete the Sudewo case file and at the same time find information on the involvement of other legislators.

"Therefore, it is also (revealed, ed) in the trial and others. Of course, additional information is needed because to increase the status there must be sufficient evidence."

As previously reported, the KPK had previously examined Sudewo in the DJKA bribery case on September 22, 2025. He was questioned about the arrangement of the auction to the alleged provision of project fees for the construction of a railway line at the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub).

Meanwhile, Sudewo, after being examined by investigators, chose to be stingy. The Gerindra Party politician underwent an examination from 09.45 WIB to 15.03 WIB at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

"I was asked for information regarding the train," Sudewo told reporters at the location.

Sudewo also claimed that there was no refund after being examined by the KPK. However, this explanation was delivered incompletely because the aides accompanying him actually hindered the work of reporters at the location.
