Follow-up to the President's Briefing, Subang Regency Government Issues Clean-up SE Every Friday
JAKARTA - The Subang Regency Government (Pemkab) in West Java (Jabar), issued a circular letter (SE) regarding the implementation of cleaning activities.
"The Subang Regency Government is committed to maintaining the cleanliness and sustainability of the region's environment," said Subang Regent Reynaldy Putra Andita in Subang, Monday.
Reynaldy said this SE was issued as a follow-up to President Prabowo Subianto's briefing in a national coordination meeting with regional heads some time ago.
He conveyed that in his instructions, President Prabowo Subianto invited the regional government (Pemda) to work together to realize Indonesia ASRI (Safe, healthy, neat and beautiful).
As a form of follow-up to the direction, his party has issued a Circular Letter (SE) regarding the implementation of the Clean Friday activities in the Subang Regency area.
According to President Prabowo's instructions, he said, cleanliness is the key to regional development, especially the tourism sector.
"At the rakornas a few days ago, the President called on all districts/cities in Indonesia to be able to clean their respective environments. Because the key to cleanliness is the key to tourism development," he said.
The Regent underlined that environmental cleanliness is not only the responsibility of one agency, but a shared responsibility from the government, private sector, educational institutions, to the community.
"Environmental problems, especially garbage, to date are still one of the homework for the Subang Regency Government. So let's work together to solve it," he said.
He invited all elements of the community in the area to participate in preserving the environment as an investment, because environmental cleanliness is the main capital to realize a healthier and organized Subang.
According to him, maintaining cleanliness must be a culture to support Indonesia ASRI, so that the movement is not just a mere ceremony.
