BoP invitation in the US already exists, the palace has not confirmed Prabowo's presence on February 19

JAKARTA - The invitation to the first meeting of the Board of Peace (BoP) in the United States has been accepted. However, the Palace has not confirmed the President's presence on the agenda which is said to take place on February 19.

"Not yet, we will announce it later if there is certainty," said Secretary of State Prasetyo Hadi at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Monday, February 9.

When asked whether the President would attend the BoP or sign the tariff, Prasetyo said the government wanted both to be done.

Prasetyo did not elaborate on the technical details of the BoP in the TNI-Polri Rapim that day. He emphasized that the President's focus was on strengthening and professionalizing the TNI-Polri, as well as maintaining cohesiveness.

The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (KSAD) General Maruli Simanjuntak previously said that the TNI AD had prepared personnel, including zeni and health elements, for peace missions related to Gaza.

However, he emphasized that the number of troops was not certain because it was still under negotiation. Maruli said the range could be brigade-level - 5,000 to 8,000 personnel - but the personnel needs would be formulated through coordination and reference from the TNI Headquarters.
