Samsung Galaxy F70e Officially Launched, Synthetic Skin and 120Hz Screen Are the Mainstays

JAKARTA - Samsung is back playing a strong card in the affordable mobile segment. The South Korean technology giant officially launched the Galaxy F70e 5G in India, a budget class smartphone that looks neat thanks to the vegan leather-coated back body, but is still aggressive in specifications, especially on the screen and battery.

The Galaxy F70e is equipped with a 6.7-inch LCD screen with HD + resolution. Although not Full HD, Samsung has embedded a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness level of up to 800 nits, a combination that is rarely found in this price class. In the hands, this phone clearly wants to give the impression of being more expensive than its price tag.

Behind the design, the Galaxy F70e is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. This processor is paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Interestingly, this device immediately runs Android 16 based on One UI 8, complete with a promise of six major operating system updates, a long-term commitment that is usually only found in higher classes.

Durability is one of the main selling points. Samsung equips the Galaxy F70e with a jumbo 6,000 mAh battery that supports 25W cable fast charging. For photography needs, this phone relies on a 50-megapixel main camera accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth sensor on the back, while an 8-megapixel front camera is prepared for selfies and video calls.

The supporting features are quite complete for an affordable price class. The Galaxy F70e supports dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.4, dual SIM, fingerprint scanner, and the Knox Vault security system. Samsung also retains a 3.5mm audio jack, a feature that is increasingly rare, and provides IP54 certification for dust and water splash resistance.

In the Indian market, the Galaxy F70e 5G is priced starting at 12,999 rupees (Rp2.4 million) for the 4GB RAM variant with 128GB storage. The 6GB RAM version with the same storage capacity is sold for 14,999 rupees (Rp2.7 million). This phone comes in two color options, Spotlight Blue and Limelight Green, and goes on sale on February 17, 2026 through Flipkart and Samsung's official website.

The launch of the Galaxy F70e comes just days after Samsung introduced the Galaxy A07, confirming the company's aggressive strategy of flooding the entry-level to mid-low segment. With a synthetic leather design, a 120Hz screen, and a monster battery, the Galaxy F70e seems to want to say one thing: cheap phones don't have to look cheap.
