Through Co-Creation, Jaecoo Invites Consumers to Determine the Direction of Personalization of J5 EV
JAKARTA - Jaecoo brings a new approach at IIMS through the Co-Creation program, which gives visitors and consumers a space to determine the direction of vehicle personalization.
Through an interactive survey that is open throughout the exhibition from February 5-15, 2026, participants can directly choose various exterior and interior details of the J5 EV, ranging from body kits, wheels, tires, speedometers, and other features as input for future model development.
This approach departs from the various real needs of J5 EV users with different backgrounds, which were revealed in the consumer discussion session at the Jaecoo booth at the 2026 IIMS. One of the consumers, Adrian, assessed that safety factors, cabin relief, and luggage capacity were the main reasons for daily use with the family, including the electric tailgate feature that adds practicality.
Meanwhile, Ivanna with high mobility highlights the premium design and cabin comfort, including ventilated seats that are relevant for use in tropical climates. From the young user segment, Deva sees the J5 EV superior in terms of stylish appearance and fast charging capabilities for dynamic activities.
Head of Marketing Jaecoo Indonesia, Mohamad Ilham Pratama, said that direct input from consumers with diverse needs is one of the company's foundations in presenting the Co-Creation program, so that user preferences and needs can be translated early into product development and personalization.
"Every consumer comes with different needs and usage characteristics. Through the Co-Creation program, consumer input including from the results of surveys will greatly help us determine the direction of personalization and improvement of the J5 EV in the future, ranging from accessories, modification approaches, to design details," he said, when met, Sunday, January 8.
In the booth area, Jaecoo also displayed two examples of modified J5 EVs with different characters, ranging from stylish-sporty to adventure-outdoor approaches. The options displayed include body kit exploration, wheel and tire combinations, and visual touches that serve as reference choices in consumer surveys.
This approach is also strengthened by the views of Rendy Surya, car enthusiast and representative of the National Modificator and Aftermarket Association (NMAA), who assessed that this Co-Creation program is a pioneering breakthrough at IIMS and is very consumer-centric so as to make vehicle modifications that are truly in accordance with consumer wishes.
"This Co-Creation program is an interesting breakthrough because consumer preferences are directly translated into modification options. The J5 EV is like a basic canvas that can be developed into several styles. With direct choices from consumers, the direction of personalization is more measurable," he explained.
