Don't Want to Look Dirty, the Police, TNI and Clean Students in the Rawajati Market Area
JAKARTA - The South Jakarta Metro Police held a cleaning action at the Rawajati Market, Pancoran, South Jakarta. TNI personnel, the South Jakarta City Government (Pemkot), students, and other community elements were involved in this activity.
The activity was led directly by the South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes I Putu Yuni Setiawan as a form of follow-up to the instructions of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto regarding the ASRI (Safe, Healthy, Resik, and Beautiful) movement.
"From the South Jakarta Metro Police together with all elements, there are TNI elements represented by the Koramil, then from the government elements there is Pak Lurah, then from the community elements, students here are also involved in cleaning the Rawajati Market in Pancoran District," said Putu in his statement, Monday, February 9.
Putu explained that Pasar Rawajati was chosen as the location of the activity because it had the characteristics of a fairly dense area and had the potential to generate high waste volumes every day.
"First, if we don't say it's dirty every day, we improve its cleanliness. Then it's also close to the river, densely populated, so the amount of garbage here is quite high. There is a religious tourist spot here," said the Police Chief.
He said similar activities would also be carried out at various other locations in the South Jakarta Metro Police jurisdiction.
"Later all places, whether it's a tourist spot, a public service place, it must still be taken care of. In addition to here, we also carry out the same thing together," said Putu.
In addition to cleaning activities, the South Jakarta Metro Police also continued a series of activities by carrying out social and health services for the surrounding community.
"After that, we also continue with social service activities in the rawajati area and also under the bridge, as well as health service," said Putu.
