UMJ Emphasizes Its Position as the Most Accredited University in Jakarta

JAKARTA - The University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta (UMJ) confirmed its position as a campus with the largest number of accredited excellent study programs in Jakarta through the UMJ EXPO Try Out 2026 which was attended by 1,000 high school/vocational school/MA students together with Ruangguru.

This campus education and UTBK preparation activities were held at the K.H. Ahmad Azhar Basyir Auditorium, M.A., Cendikia UMJ Building, Saturday, February 7, 2026.

UMJ Rector Prof. Dr. Ma'mun Murod, M.Si., said that the quality of a university can be measured through objective and measurable indicators, such as the number of full professors, professors, and the accreditation status of institutions and study programs.

He explained that UMJ currently has institutional accreditation equivalent to state universities. In addition, UMJ is listed as an accredited university with the most number of Unggul study programs in Jakarta.

"From more than 300 universities in Jakarta, UMJ ranks first in the number of accredited excellent study programs," said Ma'mun.

According to him, this achievement shows that UMJ is managed with clear and accountable quality standards. Therefore, UMJ deserves to be a serious consideration for students to continue their higher education.

Ma'mun also encouraged students to make college their main choice after graduating from high school/vocational school/university. He emphasized that the cost factor should not be an obstacle because UMJ provides various scholarship schemes.

"UMJ has many scholarship options, both for academic and non-academic achievements, including for memorizing the Qur'an. Non-academic achievements are also the basis for granting scholarships," he said.

Meanwhile, UMJ's Director of Student Promotion and Admission (PPMB), Djoni Gunanto, S.Ip., M.Si., said that state universities are still the main choice for most students. However, quality private universities such as UMJ are the next alternative.

"UMJ has been accredited as Excellent so it has strong quality and competitiveness," he said.

In addition to UTBK tryouts and faculty exhibitions, UMJ EXPO Try Out 2026 is also packaged in the form of an interactive talkshow. A number of inspirational figures are present as speakers, including Muhammad Ferarri, a student of Sports Education at UMJ FIP and a player of the Indonesian National U-23 Team, Wahyu Setiawan, a student of Sports Education at UMJ FIP and a national runner, and Luthfi from Class of Champion Season 2.
