GORONTALO - The Honor Board (BK) of the Regional Representative Council (DPRD) of North Gorontalo, Gorontalo Province, is processing a complaint of alleged violations of the code of ethics reported against one of the local DPRD members.
The Chairman of the North Gorontalo DPRD Honor Committee, Fitri Yusup Husain, said that the handling of the complaint had entered the second session with the agenda of examining the complainant, the defendant, and witnesses from each party.
"The trial was closed, but it is certain that the results will be published. We have passed the second trial, with the examination of witnesses from the complainant and the defendant. The trial was held once, but consisted of several sessions," he said in Gorontalo, Antara, Sunday, February 8.
Overall, the examination process was carried out through two hearings with four sessions.
"A total of two hearings and four sessions. On Friday (6/2) yesterday, the examination of the complainant, the defendant and the witness was carried out," he said.
According to him, the North Gorontalo DPRD Honor Committee scheduled a decision on February 9, 2026, after a meeting and a trial.
"This is part of the duties and responsibilities of the Honor Board. The procedure is clear and we are carrying it out according to the provisions. There is no intervention or intimidation," he said.
Previously, the complainant of the alleged violation of the Jikran Kasadi code of ethics said that the report had been submitted since October 2025 and was related to the alleged violation of the code of ethics by one of the members of the North Gorontalo DPRD who served as the Chairman of Commission III from the NasDem Party Faction.
He said the report was related to the alleged gesturing gesture against the mass action that conveyed aspirations in front of the North Gorontalo DPRD Office on Monday, October 13, 2025.
In addition, the complaint is also related to the upload on the Instagram social media which is allegedly uploaded by the Chairman of Commission III and then re-uploaded by another account.
According to Jikran, the upload was considered not to reflect the attitude of a DPRD member and was suspected of violating the code of ethics.
