South Kalimantan Police Deploys 500 Personnel to Secure the 6th Haul of Guru Zuhdi
BANJARMASIN - The South Kalimantan Police has deployed 500 personnel to ensure the smooth running of the 6th haul of KH Ahmad Zuhdiannoor or Guru Suhdi in the Kubah Abah Haji Complex of the Sungai Jingah Mosque, Banjarmasin City on Saturday (14/2).
"The congregation that attended is estimated to be around one million people, so our personnel deployed quite a lot reaching 500 people," said South Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Pol Rosyanto Yudha Hermawan in Banjarmasin, Saturday.
Yudha said that personnel would be alerted from H-1 for the arrival of pilgrims to their return.
Then the traffic flow was engineered by the police to prevent congestion to the haul location.
Apart from deploying personnel, the South Kalimantan Police also operated field kitchens (randurlap) and mobile water treatment vehicles to help provide consumption for pilgrims.
The Police Chief also handed over one cow to the volunteer team that carried out the haul for food provision.
Then one more cow from the Banjarmasin Police Chief, Kombes Pol Cuncun Kurniadi, as a form of Polri support for religious activities in the community.
Teacher Zuhdi died at the age of 47 on Saturday (2/5/2020) coinciding with 9 Ramadhan 1441 Hijriah while undergoing medical treatment at Medistra Hospital, Jakarta.
South Kalimantan people also lost a great religious figure who was known for his politeness and an exemplary wife for the congregation who often attended classes in various places, especially at the Sungai Jingah Mosque, Banjarmasin.
