Charli XCX to Star in Takashi Miike's Latest Horror Film

JAKARTA - Charli XCX is promoting three of her films, but she is already preparing to join a new project. Charli XCX is rumored to star in the latest horror film from legendary director Takashi Miike.

In addition to starring in the film, he is also an executive producer. Milly Alcock, Norman Reedus, Kiko Mizuhara and Sho Kasamatsu are said to have joined the film.

The title of the film has not been revealed with the provisional title "Untitled Kyoto Project" which tells the story of three friends who meet in Kyoto, Japan for a vacation. Their vacation becomes a nightmare after the character played by Charlie is possessed by the spirit of the character played by Kiko Mizuhara.

Film production will take place after Charli finishes promoting for several of his films. The Moment, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, received a positive response. This film is also the highest-grossing limited release film by A24.

Charli was present at Sundance not only promoting The Moment but also the horror film Sacrifice and the film I Want Your Sex.

Milly Alcock who is known as Supergirl joined this project. Her name became more known when she appeared in the Superman film.

Norman Reedus is making this film his latest project after starring in Ballerina in 2025 and becoming a permanent character in the franchise.

Two other Japanese actors, Kiko Mizuhara and Adabana, also joined the project. Kiko Mizuhara marked his latest work after Adabana in 2024.

Sho Kasamatsu is also known after playing the series Tokyo Vice and the Korean film Good News last year.
