In Front of Prabowo, MUI Confirms the 2025-2030 Service Period

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) confirmed the 2025-2030 term of office at the Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta, which was witnessed directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto.

The confirmation of the board of directors is based on the Decree Number Kep-1/DP-MUI/XI/2025 which was signed by the General Chairman of MUI KH Anwar Iskandar and MUI General Secretary Amirsyah Tambunan.

"The results of the 11th National Conference of MUI in 2025 as attached in the decision and are an integral part of this decision," said MUI Secretary General Amirsyah Tambunan in a series of activities for the Confirmation and Ta'aruf of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Board of Directors for the period 2025-2030 at the Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta, Saturday.

It is known that the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, and a number of figures also attended the event. President Prabowo arrived at the event location at around 10.00 WIB with several members of the Red and White Cabinet such as Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya and Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi.

Then, President Prabowo, accompanied by Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar, immediately approached the ranks of the MUI leadership and greeted them one by one. In the front row where the MUI leaders were, there was also the Chairman of the MPR RI Ahmad Muzani.

In addition, the event was also attended by more than 58,000 worshipers from various Islamic community organizations (ormas) who crowded the Istiqlal Mosque complex since 07.00 WIB. Some of them even came since dawn.

The congregation, dominated by all-white clothes, occupied the main worship room of the Istiqlal Mosque even to the fourth and fifth floors.
