Celebrate Chinese New Year with Delicious Sushi Special Menu

JAKARTA - In the near future, the Chinese community will celebrate the Chinese New Year which falls on February 17, 2026. In the Imlek celebration, there are various traditions that are usually carried out, including those related to food.

One of the foods that must be served during Chinese New Year is Yu Sheng. This is a typical Chinese raw salad dish, which symbolizes prosperity and abundance.

Genki Sushi restaurant which officially opened a new outlet at Summarecon Mall Bekasi 2 also participated in celebrating Chinese New Year by launching a special Yu Sheng menu.

"For this month, because it's going to be Chinese New Year soon, we will launch several menus including the Yu Sheng menu," said Genki Sushi Indonesia Brand Leader, Kasro Sidauruk, at the opening of the outlet in Bekasi, Thursday, February 5, 2026.

"Yu Sheng is a menu of several salads, several kinds of menus are usually served for Chinese New Year celebrations," he added.

Not only Yu Sheng, there are also several sushi boxes, which can be used as hampers or eaten with family during the Chinese New Year celebration.

The sushi box is like the Prosperity Box (containing California Supreme Roll, Salmon Roll, Poke Breeze Roll, Truffle Karubi Roll) and Fortune Box (containing Shinkansen Roll, Red Dragon Roll, Rainbow Roll).

In addition, new sushi menus will also be available to pamper the customers' tongues, especially at the new outlets. Signature menus such as Crunchy Tempura Ebi Roll, Spicy Double Salmon Roll, to Salmon Nagiri are also ready to be served to customers.
