Pelita Jaya Jakarta Officially Collaborates with PAM Jaya

JAKARTA - The Pelita Jaya Jakarta basketball club has officially entered into a cooperation with the Jaya Drinking Water Company (PAM) to navigate the rest of the 2026 Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) competition.

The signing of the cooperation between the two parties was held at the PAM Jaya Head Office, Bendungan Hilir, Central Jakarta, on Friday, February 6, 2026, in the afternoon WIB.

PAM Jaya President Director, Arief Nasrudin, said that this cooperation aims to educate the public, especially in Jakarta, about the importance of consuming clean water and also sanitation.

"So, the hope is that with this cooperation, we will convey a message to the public that PAM is moving to complete the target delivered by the Governor (Pramono Anung)," said Arief in Jakarta.

The cooperation in the form of sponsorship lasts for the next one year and there is a possibility of continuing periodically. One of the important points of this cooperation is the placement of the PAM Jaya logo on various official attributes of the Jakarta-based club.

Arief said that basketball is one of the promising niche markets because it has so many fans, especially Gen Z, who can certainly pass on the campaign messages from both parties.

"So, PAM when delivering a campaign about immediately completing water connections through sports cooperation like this will be faster and easier to educate about how the water will be in the future," he said.

Other points in this cooperation are the company's exposure in the club's digital media, the implementation of social responsibility activities or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the provision of match ticket facilities, and exclusive co-branding merchandise.

President of Pelita Jaya Jakarta, Andiko Ardi Purnomo, said that his party was very pleased to receive support from companies in Jakarta. He emphasized that this cooperation could be established because of the common vision.

"Actually, both are campaigning for public health, especially starting with the children of Gen Z, young children. So, from an early age, the name of the sport is definitely drinking and drinking PAM Jaya because it is clean," he said.

Pelita Jaya Jakarta has played six matches in the 2026 IBL. They won all the matches so they collected 12 points and sat in fourth place in the standings.
