Cakra Khan Assures to Keep Performing and Intensify Promotion of New Single During Ramadan

JAKARTA - Ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, the husky-voiced solo artist, Cakra Khan, ensures that his productivity will not be slack.

The singer of "Kekasih Bayangan" chose to remain active on stage while focusing his energy on promoting his latest work, a remake of the late Chrisye's song, "When Hands and Feet Say".

For Cakra, working in Ramadan is the best way to keep the rhythm of life productive. Therefore, he deliberately did not limit the work schedule so that his focus was not solely on hunger or thirst while fasting.

"For Ramadan, I think I'm focusing on this song (When Hands and Feet Say)," Cakra Khan told the media at Cilandak, South Jakarta, recently.

"Sometimes when the time is right, the prayer feels good, but it is actually being tried as actively as possible. Work is still work, so that the focus is on other things," he continued.

Maintaining voice performance in the midst of fasting physical conditions is certainly not easy. However, Cakra admitted that he did not have any special secret ingredients or supplements to maintain his stamina.

He only relies on the most basic healthy lifestyle, namely the duration of quality sleep and the right intake of nutrients during sahur and breaking the fast.

"Sleep and eat properly. That's all. Fasting also needs physical strength, may God continue to give you health," he added.

Furthermore, Cakra also talked about the list of requests or riders for his performance during Ramadan.

At a time when some musicians often ask for more technical and complex consumption, the 43-year-old singer actually appears to want something simple. There is no request for luxurious takjil or special Ramadan food on his stage needs list.

Cakra admitted that he only needed two essentials to support his performance after putting out a lot of energy on stage.

He joked, the most important request for him was only a towel to wipe the sweat and medical oxygen assistance for instant physical recovery.

"There is nothing strange, the important thing is usually a towel," he said.

"If I like oxygen. Sometimes it's even better when I'm tired, to stabilize (conditions)," Cakra concluded while laughing.
