Government Completes Construction of 4,401 Huntara in Aceh
JAKARTA - Head of the Aceh Regional Task Force (Kasatgaswil) Safrizal Zakaria Ali said the government together with stakeholders had completed the construction of 4,401 temporary housing units (huntara) throughout Aceh.
"The construction of huntara has been completed 4,401 units or equivalent to 26 percent of the total number which is currently being and will continue to be built as many as 15,956 units. The government through the Acceleration Task Force for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (Satgas PRR) will continue to monitor until all are achieved. We are fast and continue to accelerate," said Safrizal as reported by ANTARA, Friday, February 6.
Thousands of hunters are spread across the affected districts/cities. North Aceh Regency is the area with the most units, namely 1,015 units, then Aceh Tamiang Regency 1,000 units, Gayo Lues Regency 530 units, East Aceh Regency 529 units, and Bener Meriah Regency 455 units.
Furthermore, Pidie Jaya Regency 410 units, Central Aceh Regency 300 units, Nagan Raya Regency 70 units, Lhokseumawe City 50 units, Pidie Regency 12 units, and Langsa City 30 units.
Meanwhile, with the significant progress in the development of the huntara after the formation of the Aceh Regional Task Force headed by Safrizal, who is also the Director General of Regional Administrative Development, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the number of refugees living in emergency tents has also continued to decline.
"The impact of more and more huntara is completed, namely the number of refugees decreases. According to the Transition Post report, the number of refugees in Aceh continues to decrease significantly and currently there are still 19,019 families who are still scattered in 986 evacuation points in 10 regencies/cities," he said.
Safrizal added that from the aspect of economic recovery, it has also started to move, including about 465 people's markets in Aceh have returned to being active to help move the wheels of the people's economy.
In addition, there are also 641 houses of worship that have returned to their functions, which marks the recovery of social and religious life of the residents.
In the mud cleaning sector, he said, of the 235 target locations for cleaning in Aceh by the Ministry of PUPR, 129 locations have been completed, while 106 other locations are still in process.
"This cleaning is an important foundation for restoring settlements, public facilities, and the economic activities of residents, including the Aceh Tamiang Regency Government office complex which is ready to be used after previously being severely affected," said Safrizal.
Meanwhile, from the health aspect, Safrizal said that all health facilities affected by the disaster were still functioning. It was recorded that 146 health facilities in Aceh were affected by the disaster but were still operational. Two health centers provide services outside the building, namely the Lokop Health Center in East Aceh and the Jambur Lak Lak Health Center in South Aceh.
Meanwhile, the education sector was also affected with 1,204 educational facilities, but the learning process continued to be tried to continue. In terms of basic infrastructure, the construction of clean water and sanitation facilities continues to be rushed. In Aceh, 614 boreholes have been completed, one unit is still in process, and four units are in the preparation stage.
"For the MWC facility, 46 units have been completed, while the other 26 units are still under construction, to ensure the health of the affected community environment, Hopefully everything will be facilitated, Insya Allah before Ramadan this progress continues to be significant," said Safrizal.
