Corruption in the SMK Furniture Project, 1 NTB Education Officer and 1 PKK are Suspects

JAKARTA - The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police revealed that it had named two suspects in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of furniture for vocational high schools (SMK) at the NTB Education and Culture Office (Dikbud).

The determination of two suspects with initials IKS, former Head of Infrastructure at the NTB Education Office as well as the project commitment maker (PPK) and MZ from the private sector in mid-January 2026, was revealed from the existence of a file investigation by the NTB High Prosecutor's Office for the follow-up of the transfer of police investigators.

"Yes, yesterday there were two (suspects), the same file. We are still struggling in research (files)," said NTB Regional Attorney's Office Special Criminal Assistant Muh. Zulkifli Said in Mataram, Friday.

In the context of the investigation of the files belonging to the two suspects, he emphasized that his party was still building coordination with the police investigators to see the completeness of the former.

"We are still coordinating (NTB Police) for the completeness of the files," he said.

The Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the NTB Police, Kombes Pol. Fx. Endriadi previously refused to respond regarding the determination of these two suspects.

"For the case of tipikor (corruption), it cannot be informed before the pre-prosecution stage. Later we will inform after the pre-prosecution or P-21," said Endriadi.

The NTB Police in this investigation has obtained the results of an audit of state financial losses from the NTB Representative of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) with a value of Rp. 2.8 billion.

Police investigators made this BPKP audit result the material for the completeness of evidence in the transfer of files belonging to two suspects to the investigating prosecutor at the NTB Prosecutor's Office.

The alleged corruption that emerged in the 2022 procurement for vocational high schools (SMK) throughout NTB has swallowed a budget from the special allocation fund worth Rp. 10.2 billion.

During the investigation stage, the police have recorded 57 witnesses from the NTB Education Office.

Those who have undergone the examination include the former Head of the NTB Education Office Aidy Furqan and the Head of the Vocational High School (SMK) Training Section at the NTB Education Office Khairul Ihwan.

There are also parties from the goods provider, the government's goods procurement agency, and the school as the recipient of the goods.
