Legit, KPK Employees Who Passed TWK Officially Inaugurated As ASN
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri has officially inaugurated 1,271 employees who have passed the national insight test (TWK) as employees of the state civil apparatus (ASN). A total of 53 employees were appointed in the room. Meanwhile, the rest took part in the online inauguration to maintain health protocols.
The inauguration began with the reading of the Presidential Decree No. 87/TPA of 2021 concerning middle high leadership positions within the KPK setting the Secretary General of the KPK Cahya Hardianto Harifa and the Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring of the KPK Pahala Nainggolan as civil servants.
Next, Harifa and Pahala read the oath as echelon 1A ASN employees. Followed by the reading of the oath of the echelon KPK employees below him.
"I solemnly declare and promise that to be appointed as a civil servant, I will obey Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the state and the government. That I will obey all applicable laws and regulations and carry out the official duties entrusted to me," said Firli while guiding the oath of office at the KPK Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, June 1.
After reading the oath of office, KPK employees who currently have ASN status signed an integrity pact. Harifa and Pahala signed the integrity pact symbolically.
After that, KPK employees who are appointed by ASN will get an Employee Identification Number (NIP) through a decision letter to become ASN issued by KPK leaders.
This inauguration was held right on the Birthday of Pancasila. Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, said that June 1 was specifically chosen to show the sense of Pancasila for the employees who were inaugurated as ASN. This inauguration is a mandate from the KPK Law Number 19 of 2019.
75 Employees Failed TWK, 51 Employees Fired
It's just that in the midst of this inauguration, the polemic about the National Insight Test Assessment (TWK) is still going on. This is because 75 KPK employees, including Novel Baswedan et al, did not pass the test.
As a result, the KPK will fire 51 employees who are deemed to have received red points from assessors because they cannot be trained. Meanwhile, 24 of them can still be fostered with education in defending the country and national insight although if they do not pass, they can also be fired.

The implementation of this TWK then received the spotlight because there were many irregularities in its implementation. Including, how the questions asked in the interview session between employees and assessors are considered to touch the private sphere.
Employees have also reported alleged violations in the TWK process to various parties, one of which is Komnas HAM and the investigation is ongoing.
