Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga: 2025 Economic Growth in Line with Government Program

JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded Indonesia's economic growth throughout 2025 at 5.11 percent or higher than the achievement in 2024 which was at the level of 5.03 percent.

The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) value for 2025 on the basis of prevailing prices (ADHB) reached IDR 23,821.1 trillion, while on the basis of constant prices (ADHK) amounted to IDR 13,580.5 trillion.

Meanwhile, the national economy in the fourth quarter of 2025 grew 5.39 percent year on year (yoy), or increased compared to the fourth quarter of 2024 which grew 5.02 percent.

Meanwhile, based on Indonesia's gross domestic product or GDP in the fourth quarter of 2025 on the basis of prevailing prices amounted to Rp6,147.2 trillion and on the basis of constant prices reached Rp3,474.5 trillion.

Responding to this achievement, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto assessed that the economic growth of 5.11 percent on an annual basis and 5.39 percent in the fourth quarter was in line with government policies.

He explained that fiscal stimulus, including the distribution of social assistance, succeeded in encouraging an increase in public consumption.

"I think it is in line with the government's program, where the government pours fiscal, social assistance and it is seen that consumption also increases," he told the media, Thursday, February 5.

In addition, Airlangga said that a number of key sectors such as industry, trade, and agriculture showed positive performance, thus supporting real sector growth above the national economic growth rate.

Airlangga added that the distribution of the budget that was running well also made all the engines of economic growth move.

Regarding the achievement which is still slightly below the government's target, Airlangga conveyed that the growth target in the fourth quarter of 2025 of 5.4 percent was almost achieved with a realization of 5.39 percent.

Meanwhile, he added that the 2025 economic growth of 5.11 percent was influenced by the economic performance at the beginning of the year, especially January 2025, which was relatively lower.
