Gemini Reaches 750 Million Monthly Active Users
JAKARTA - Gemini, a chatbot service for Artificial Intelligence (AI) owned by Google, has reached a new milestone. The bot now has 750 million monthly active users (MAU).
This is an extraordinary achievement revealed by Google in its 2025 fourth quarter earnings report. This number of MAU also shows that the adoption of AI technology is increasing among the public.
Gemini's user growth is also very massive because in the third quarter, the number of Gemini users reached 650 million users. If this growth continues, Gemini can rival the number of ChatGPT users.
Currently, Gemini is ahead of Meta AI which has 500 million monthly active users. Meanwhile, ChatGPT is still leading with 800 million active users. Most likely, Gemini's passive growth is driven by Nano Banana.
Gemini's success is also inseparable from the launch of Gemini 3, Google's most advanced AI model to date. This latest model is claimed to be able to provide a response with a much better level of depth and nuance compared to previous generations.
Google states that their focus, both on free and paid services, has borne fruit. Moreover, Google has added a new service called AI Plus which is a special AI package at an affordable price.
"The Gemini app has grown to more than 750 million monthly active users. Search has seen unprecedented usage growth, with AI continuing to drive an expansionary moment," Google CEO Sundar Pichai said, quoted on Thursday, February 5.
This achievement is also driven by Gemini's integration into various Google services. Currently, the Gemini model is processing more than 10 billion tokens per minute through the use of direct APIs.
