Danantara Sets Target for BUMN Karya Merger to be Completed in Semester II 2026

JAKARTA - Danantara Dony Oskaria's Chief Operating Officer (COO) said that his party targets the merger or merger process of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Karya to be completed in the second half of 2026.

The seven works of BUMN that will be consolidated are PT Hutama Karya (Persero); PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk; PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk; PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk; PT PP (Persero) Tbk; PT Brantas Abipraya.

"So it is likely that we will do it in the second semester," he said when met at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, written Thursday, February 5.

Dony explained that before entering the merger stage, Danantara would first carry out rectification. He said that the improvement process had begun since last year by cleaning and correcting the books, including recording the impairment of assets or impairment.

Furthermore, Dony said that after the process was completed, the company would undergo business and financial restructuring, including reducing debt burdens, until its condition was healthy again.

Dony said that after all stages of restructuring, the company will enter the business consolidation phase through a merger scheme.

"Last year we did the cleaning first, we cleaned up the books. After cleaning up the books, we restructured the business, including reducing its debts. After that, we entered the next phase, which is the phase for consolidating the business through mergers," he said.

Previously, Deputy Head of the State-Owned Enterprise Regulation Agency (BP BUMN) Aminuddin Ma'ruf revealed the latest news regarding the merger or merger of a number of BUMN works. He said, it is targeted to be completed in the first quarter of 2026.

"The first quarter (finished)," said Aminuddin when met at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture Office, Jakarta, Monday, December 29.

Currently, continued Aminuddin, the corporate action process of the state-owned company is still being studied.

"It is still being studied," he said.

When asked further about the mapping of the merger of companies, Aminuddin asked to wait for an official announcement regarding this matter.

Aminuddin also emphasized that the merger of BUMN works would be carried out simultaneously.
