Lined up at the table, this is the appearance of billions of dollars in the Musi Bengkulu Hydroelectric Power Plant corruption case
BENGKULU - The Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Special Criminal Investigation Team received a return of state losses worth Rp. 4.95 billion from the alleged corruption case of replacing the main control system of the Musi Hydroelectric Power Plant (PLTA), Bengkulu Province, in 2022-2023.
"For the total return of state financial losses that have been entrusted to the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office, it has reached Rp. 4.95 billion and the money was taken from the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office Other Deposit Account," said Assistant Intelligence of the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office, David Palapa Duarsa, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, February 5.
He said investigators had received the return of state losses by parties related to the case of alleged corruption in the replacement of the Musi Hydroelectric Plant's main control system.
The parties who returned the state losses were the President Director of PT Citra Wahana Sekar Buana Wawan Setiawan with a value of Rp424.82 million.
Then, Osmond Pratama Manurungselaku Sales Manager PT Yokogawa Indonesia as well as Director of PT Ostradasenilai Rp526.31 million, and Director of PT Hensan Putera Andalas Hendra Gunawan sebesar Rp4 miliar.
David emphasized that the return of state losses did not eliminate the criminal liability of the parties in accordance with the provisions of applicable laws and regulations because the return was part of the law enforcement process.
"The Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office is committed to continuing to complete the handling of corruption cases in a professional, transparent, and accountable manner, to support efforts to eradicate corruption and recover state finances," he said.
Previously, the Bengkulu Prosecutor's Office together with the Kepahiang District Attorney's Office carried out a search at the Office of the Ujan Mas Water Power Plant Business Unit (PLTA) related to the alleged corruption case some time ago.
The search was carried out in connection with alleged corruption in replacing the AVR system at the Musi PLTA in Kepahiang Regency, Bengkulu, by the Bengkulu Power Generation Control Implementation Unit at the electricity company of the South Sumatra Power Generation Unit in the 2022-2023 fiscal year.
In addition to conducting a search at the Musi Hydroelectric Plant Office in Kepahiang Regency, the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office investigation team also conducted searches at two other locations in Palembang, South Sumatra, and Jakarta.
