Komdigi and BP Taskin Prepare an Integrated Digital System for Targeted Social Assistance

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital has worked with the Poverty Eradication Acceleration Agency (BP Taskin) in preparing an integrated digital system to ensure that social assistance and economic empowerment programs are actually received by eligible citizens.

Through this cooperation, Komdigi and BP Taskin will focus on the use of digital technology to improve the accuracy of targeting assistance and strengthen the economic independence of poor people.

"We will prioritize cooperation in programs that directly benefit the community," said Minister of Communication and Information Meutya Hafid in his official statement quoted on Thursday, February 5.

Meutya also emphasized that digitization should not stop at system development, but must have a direct impact on people's lives.

According to him, collaboration across ministries and agencies is a key prerequisite in accelerating poverty alleviation, especially through the use of digital technology integrated into the government system.

"We also agree that cross-ministerial collaboration is definitely needed, and in the centralization of government digitization, the door is at the Ministry of Communication and Digital," said Meutya.

Furthermore, Meutya explained that the role of Komdigi is not only limited to providing digital infrastructure and systems, but also includes strengthening the capacity of the community to be able to use technology productively.

Meanwhile, BP Taskin Budiman Sudjatmiko emphasized that the digital sector has a strategic role in efforts to alleviate poverty and improve the quality of human resources.

According to him, access to digital technology opens up new economic opportunities that can be utilized by the community at the grassroots level.

Budiman hopes that Komdigi can provide support for the provision of technology in this program so that it can run more effectively and increase community participation.
