Katyana Antisipasi Jatuh Suka yang Bikin Penasaran di Single Tongkat Sihir

JAKARTA - Katyana Mawira is present as a new face in the Indonesian music industry through the single titled Tongkat Sihir which is blooming. This song captures the feeling of falling in love for the first time from an enthusiastic and curious point of view.

Katyana has had an interest in the world of vocal since she was little. She actively participates in various singing competitions, and is often involved in music projects such as the Trust Junior Orchestra and the Indonesian Cancer Foundation charity concert.

To realize her dream, Katyana took formal vocal courses since 2015. Her musical journey continues to grow until 2023, KATYANA recorded an important experience as the youngest performer at the Java Jazz Festival, performing full with Otti Jamalus Quartet.

Having played the character of Milly in the musical film Rangga & Cinta, Katyana spent the last few years continuing to hone her vocal and performance skills through various classes and stage experiences.

In his teenage years, his curiosity about many things is getting bigger. Including his desire to try new things and express the emotions he is starting to feel. From this phase, his latest single, Tongkat Sihir, comes as his first step into the recording studio, representing the curiosity, excitement, and imagination typical of teenagers.

"This song tells about curiosity when you start to like someone. For those who have never been in a relationship, this song can represent your curiosity. More to imagining, how it feels to fall in love, how small things can feel special, and how that feeling grows between hope and fear that everything is just in your own head," said Katyana in a written release, February 4.

Claiming to have never had a dating moment, it actually became a special resource for Katyana to anticipate the feeling of falling in love. This is because Magic Wand does not discuss the experience of love that has happened, but rather about the excited anticipation of imagining how it feels to like someone with a sense of excitement to the confusion of interpreting one's own feelings.

Katyana already felt connected to this song when she first heard the material. He called "Magic Wand" a unique song, both musically and lyrically, and very much represents the teenage phase he is going through. Curiosity, overthinking, to confusion reading the signals are the main emotions he tries to convey through his vocals.

Behind this song, Tongkat Sihir was written and composed by Mohammed Kamga, Tintin, Abram A. Lembono, and Chevrina Anayang. The concept of Tongkat Sihir itself is interpreted as a metaphor for the feeling of falling in love with a "magic" that makes a person behave wrong, confused about reading signals, and questioning their own feelings as if there is a stick that can magically feel.

"This song describes the moment when someone falls in love and feels like they're under a spell. Not because there's real magic, but because the feeling itself makes us behave wrong and doubt, is this real, or am I just excited," explains the songwriter, Kamga.

Katyana's vocal and visual colors make Kamga feel sure that this song is suitable for the singer. The lyrics feel more honest and convincing, as if coming directly from her personal experience.

This song is expected to be a friend in the midst of confusion that often arises when new feelings begin to grow.

"Hopefully this song can be a friend for listeners who are curious and confused when they are 'hit by a magic wand' by someone they like, and make them feel not alone in going through that phase," concluded Katyana.
