Gorontalo's Dr. Hasri Ainun Habibie Hospital is Ready to Become the Main Education Hospital for Internal Diseases
GORONTALO - The Gorontalo Provincial Hospital Dr. Hasri Ainun Habibie in Limboto is currently being prepared to become a Primary Implementing Education Hospital (RSPPU) specializing in Internal Medicine. This strategic step aims to produce specialist doctors independently in the Gorontalo region.
The Head of the P2KB Health Service of Gorontalo Province, dr. Anang S. Otoluwa, stated that a cross-sector meeting had been held to mature the aspects of human resources, infrastructure, to the management of clinical education.
3 Steps to Accelerate Towards RSPPU
To accelerate the status of this teaching hospital, the local government has set three main priorities:
Formation of the Acceleration Team: Involving cross-sectors for more solid coordination.
Structured Planning: Formulating realistic and measurable stages of implementation.
Academic Synergy: Organizing a workshop with the Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) as a partner.
"The potential of this hospital is great, but strengthening human resources and meeting the standards of facilities and infrastructure are still our main focus to match the national standards of educational hospitals," said dr. Anang.
Human Resources and Self-Sufficient Facilities Strengthening
The Chairman of PAPDI Gorontalo Province, Taufik Ramadhan Biya, emphasized the importance of curriculum readiness and encouragement for PAPDI members to take sub-specialty education. This is necessary to strengthen the capacity of clinical educators in the region.
Apart from the quality of doctors, the aspect of facilities is also in the spotlight:
Laboratory Independence: RSUD Ainun Habibie is encouraged to have a complete and independent laboratory so that the education process does not depend on outside parties.
Reference Center: In addition to the educational function, this RSPPU is projected to become a flagship referral service center in Gorontalo.
"In the future, this hospital will not only produce new specialists, but also improve the quality of health services for all Gorontalo people," concluded Taufik.
