Indonesian Figures Support Indonesia Joining the Board of Peace

JAKARTA - A number of figures met President Prabowo at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 4. The figures are several former foreign ministers such as Hasan Wirajuda, Alwi Shihab, Marty Natalegawa, to Retno Marsudi.

Even the former Minister of Foreign Affairs Dino Patti Djalal, whose name was highlighted for his harsh criticism of the Foreign Ministry's performance, was also present.

After the meeting, the figures said that they understood Indonesia's accession as a member of the Board of Peace (BoP). Indonesia's participation in the BoP, which was initiated by US President Donald Trump, also drew criticism from the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI).

According to the figures, the meeting with President Prabowo Subianto was warm with a meeting time of approximately three hours.
