Pupuk Indonesia Appreciates 1,100 Distributors, Refers to Regulations and Fertilizer Prices

YOGYAKARTA - PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) awarded 1,100 Distribution Business Operators (PUD) from across Indonesia in the PI Appreciation Day 2026 event held in Yogyakarta, Wednesday (4/2). This award was given as a form of recognition for the contribution of PUD in the distribution of subsidized fertilizer and strengthening the governance of distribution this year.

President Director of PT Pupuk Indonesia, Rahmad Pribadi, emphasized that the success of fertilizer distribution could not be achieved without the important role of distributors. "This appreciation is not just a ceremony. This is an acknowledgment of the hard work and collaboration of all parties in maintaining the supply of fertilizer to farmers," he said.

In his speech, Rahmad also conveyed that he had received the Satyalancana Wira Karya from President Prabowo Subianto for his contribution to national food self-sufficiency. However, he emphasized that the award was the result of collective work. He called the role of the Minister of Agriculture, the supply chain, the directors of subsidiaries, and PUD as an inseparable part of the achievement.

Rahmad underlined that since being inaugurated, President Prabowo has paid great attention to the agricultural sector. One important step is the simplification of fertilizer regulations from 145 to only three regulations, as well as a reduction in the highest retail price (HET) of subsidized fertilizer by 20 percent by October 2025.

"This policy was made so that farmers can more easily get fertilizer at reasonable prices," he said.

From the distributor side, the appreciation came from the Koperasi Jasa Gema Indonesia Maju (Kopgim). The representative of the PUD from Bogor, HMU Kurniadi, called Rahmad's leadership as a figure who is active and firm in the field. "He directly nurtured to the lowest level. We are proud to be part of a big effort towards national food self-sufficiency," he said.
