PKB Encourage DPRD to Choose the Pilkada, Cak Imin: Politics Should Not Be "Hot" Every Day
PKB proposes limiting political competition that "the heat never stops" and encourages the election of regional heads to be returned through the DPRD.
The proposal, according to PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar, received the approval of President Prabowo Subianto when the DPP management and the heads of the PKB DPW throughout Indonesia had an audience at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Wednesday, February 4.
"PKB has always wanted the election through the DPRD," said Muhaimin or who is familiarly called Cak Imin. He assessed that politics that are too competitive "every day" are not productive. However, he has not discussed the technicalities further, including the parliamentary threshold.
Beyond the issue of the electoral system, PKB also brought a fairly serious proposal. Shifting the direction of the economy. Cak Imin called "the economy of the constitution" as a common agenda, referring to Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution - the point is, the state must actively protect small economies, expand access to capital, and prevent free competition that "strangles the small".
PKB meminta dukungan regulasi dari level undang-undang hingga keputusan strategis agar manfaat kebijakan tidak menumpuk pada "yang atas".
During the meeting, Cak Imin stated that PKB was ready to become the "front guard" to succeed the government's programs, including building an ecosystem of Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) so that the supply-demand chain is more productive.
He also conveyed support for Prabowo's diplomatic steps, including involvement in the Board of Peace.
Cak Imin said there was no discussion of a reshuffle or the position of the National Awakening Party in the cabinet. Regarding government support for "ten years", he emphasized that PKB "compact at least two periods" and has not discussed accompanying figures, including Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
