Ordered by Prabowo, Hundreds of Police Personnel Clean Up Garbage on Bali Beach
DENPASAR - The Bali Police together with the police in all parts of Bali have deployed hundreds of police personnel to clean up garbage on a number of beaches.
The garbage cleaning was carried out on the beach in the Jembrana Regency, Badung Regency and Denpasar City, Bali, which was carried out from Tuesday (3/2) until today.
Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, Kombes Ariasandy, said that in order to follow up on the instructions from President Prabowo Subianto, regarding cleanliness along tourist attractions on the island of Bali.
"Polda Bali and its ranks have initiated beach cleaning activities which have been carried out since yesterday and today," said Kombes Ariasandy, Wednesday, February 4.
He explained, hundreds of Sat Brimobda Bali personnel joined the East Denpasar Police and the Denpasar City Environmental Service, carrying out cleaning at the beach in Padanggalak, Denpasar City.
Then, for the Badung Police personnel, they carried out garbage cleaning at Pererenan Beach, North Kuta District, Badung Regency, and Jembrana Police personnel carried out cleaning at three locations, namely Samiana Gilimanuk Beach, Pangkung Dedari Melaya Beach and Delod Berawah Beach.
"Cleaning garbage, especially on beaches and tourist attractions, is carried out continuously by the Regional Police and the Regional Police. The implementation is coordinated with stakeholders and groups of student communities around the location," he added.
Police personnel together with related parties carried out cleaning along the beaches from plastic waste, wood and waste that pollute the beach.
"We will continue to do this in cooperation with all stakeholders in order to make Bali a tourist destination that is comfortable, clean, and safe to visit," he said.
The Police also appealed and invited the people of Bali as a world tourist destination and also in line with the vision of the Bali Police Chief to realize Bali Island as a quality tourist destination.
"Let's take care of cleanliness and environmental sustainability. So that tourists, both local and foreign, feel comfortable and enjoy when visiting Bali that we love," he said.
Previously, President Prabowo Subianto had criticized the regional heads in Bali regarding the garbage problem that filled the beaches on the Island of the Gods. Prabowo said the problem even triggered comments from several figures abroad.
"This is sorry, governor, the regent from Bali is real, Bali December 2025, this is Bali Beach. How do tourists want to come there to see the garbage," said Prabowo at the Central and Regional Government Rakornas in Sentul, Bogor, West Java, Monday (2/2).
