Heavy Rain Plus Kali Krutut Flood, 39 RT in Jaksel Kebanjiran

JAKARTA - A total of 39 Neighborhood Units (RT) in Petogogan Village, South Jakarta, were flooded after being hit by heavy rain and overflowing the Krukut River.

"The height of the water entering the residential area is 30 cm," said the Head of the Data and Information Center for Disaster Management of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) DKI Jakarta, Mohamad Yohan, Wednesday, February 4.

According to him, the cause of the flood was the location due to weather, namely heavy rain that hit the DKI area and its surroundings and the overflowing of the Krukut River.

In addition to 39 RT submerged in floodwaters, the DKI BPBD also recorded one road submerged with a height of 35 centimeters (cm).

"For the DI Panjaitan road, Cipinang Cempedak Village, East Jakarta, it was also flooded," he said.

BPBD DKI Jakarta has deployed personnel to monitor the condition of the puddles in each area and coordinate with the Water Resources Service (SDA), Road Construction Service and Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) to carry out the draining of puddles.

In addition, his party also ensures that the water ropes function so that the puddles can recede quickly.
