Body Found in Gilimanuk Bali, Allegedly a Victim of the KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya Tragedy

JEMBRANA - The body of an unidentified man was found by the West Bali National Park (TNBB) Gilimanuk, in Jembrana Regency, Bali.

The victim is suspected to be one of the victims of the KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya accident which sank in 2025.

"It cannot be confirmed," said Jembrana Police Public Relations Officer Ipda I Putu Budi Arnaya, Wednesday, February 4.

The body was found this morning in the coastal area of Gilimanuk TNBB, specifically on the northern shore of the holy Sumur Kembar area.

"Our personnel immediately went down to secure the scene, ensure that the situation remained conducive, and coordinate with related elements for further handling," said Gilimanuk Police Chief Kompol Arya Agung Arjana Putra.

Meanwhile, the Acting Officer (PS) of the Head of Doctors and Health (Dokkes) of the Jembrana Police, Aiptu Gst Ngurah Adi Sadnyana Putra, explained that his party together with the Jembrana Police Identification team and the doctor of the State Hospital, Jembarana, had conducted an external examination of the body according to the police's medical procedures.

"From the results of the external examination, the body is male with the body in an intact condition and has been in a state of decomposition. Currently, our bodies are evacuated to the State Hospital for the purpose of identification and further examination," said Aiptu Sadnyana.

The body was evacuated using the Jembrana Police ambulance to the State Hospital around 09.15 WITA and is now being kept in the mortuary for further identification.
