MUI Deputy Secretary General: President Prabowo is Ready to Leave the Board of Peace, If He is No Longer in Line

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto will leave the Board of Peace membership if he is no longer in line.

This was conveyed by Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Cholil Nafis to reporters after meeting President Prabowo at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, February 3.

Cholil Nafis is one of the leaders of religious community organizations (ormas) invited by President Prabowo. During the meeting, Cholil conveyed a message to President Prabowo to play an active role for the benefit of Palestine.

Cholil also said that President Prabowo had doubts about Indonesia being able to do more for Palestine when joining the Board of Peace initiated by US President Donald Trump.
