Yungblud's Grammy Awards 2026 Victory Speech: Watch Out Pop Music, We'll Beat You

JAKARTA - English rock musician Dominic Richard Harrison aka Yungblud, confirmed that rock music is still relevant, when delivering a victory speech at the 2026 Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles, USA, last weekend.

As is known, Yungblud won the Best Rock Performance category through his collaboration with Nuno Bettencourt, Frank Bello, and Adam Wakeman at Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath's farewell concert, Back to the Beginning at Villa Park, last July.

Opening his speech, Yungblud opened a paper taken from his pocket, then revealed what he had achieved as something unbelievable.

"Growing up loving an idol who helped you find your identity - not just as a musician but as a man - is something I am so grateful for," Yungblud said.

"But then, getting to know them and having a relationship with them, respecting them in their last show and accepting this - because it's something I think we'll all find really hard to understand," the 28-year-old continued.

Yungblud firmly expressed his respect for Ozzy. He also expressed his gratitude to the late family and all the teams involved in the farewell concert.

"We all want to thank Sharon, Jack, Kelly, and Aimee for this opportunity. Everyone on the Back to the Beginning show, my entire band right now, where six generations of rock musicians come together on behalf of our genre, on behalf of Sabbath and on behalf of Ozzy Osbourne," he said. "I want to thank my team and on behalf of everyone, all their teams."

Furthermore, the eccentric musician expressed his love for rock music. He even asserted that this genre would be big again, as in the past.

"I love this genre so much. This is all I've ever known. We want to dedicate this and present it to everyone in the guitar store where I grew up and everyone in the guitar store or bedroom with a dream," he said.

"Rock music is back. Just watch out for pop music, we'll beat you," continued Yungblud confidently, which was then responded to with a round of applause.

"The last time I met Ozzy Osbourne, you asked if there was anything you could do for me. I replied that music was enough and I can safely say on behalf of all of us that it still applies now and will remain so forever. You will be with me every time I am nervous and on stage at every show. God bless rock music and God bless Ozzy Osbourne," he concluded.
