Commission III of the DPR asks BNN to take action against the misuse of the pink whip

Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR) has asked the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) to take firm action against the rampant circulation of Whip Pink or Nitrous Oxide (N2O) gas which is misused for euphoric effects.

The legal commission assessed that the misuse of the Pink Whip among young people is very dangerous.

This was conveyed by member of Commission III of the DPR Aboe Bakar Alhabsyi in a meeting with the BNN at the DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, February 3.

Initially, Abu asked for an explanation from the BNN regarding the BNN program worth Rp55.74 billion. Including whether the tools owned by the BNN can identify new psychotropic variants, in this case the misuse of N2O gas.

"I see on page 42 sir, there is a very large single proposal, namely the drug signature analysis facility, worth Rp. 55.74 billion, this almost absorbs 93 percent of the total budget for the lab sector. Please explain sir. Is this tool able to detect the profile of the international syndicate network automatically sir? And is this tool already able to identify new psychoactive substance (NPS) variants that have just entered Indonesia? And is this laboratory able to detect the danger of whip pink N2O for euphoric effects?," said Aboe Bakar.

It is known that Whip Pink is a gas that is often used as a supporting tool in the culinary world, namely making soft whipped cream. According to Aboe, BNN's firm action is needed as a step to anticipate wider misuse among teenagers.

"Well, this tube seems to be more trendy, sir, among teenagers. So this kind of thing, teenagers are also, God forbid, pink whips, playing and getting crazier in the area, especially in prison. Well, it seems that there needs to be firm action because it is very dangerous," said Aboe.

"I don't know, I hope that in BNN, in taking action, it will still be in accordance with the rules and laws, sir, but the firmness must be shown, sir," he continued.

The PKS legislator assessed that criminals and drug dealers who kill must be severely punished. At minimum, said Aboe, his face was shown to the public and other punishments that had a deterrent effect.

"In the Quran, sir, if in the law a person who is mujirin in nature, namely drugs, murder and so on, besides being cut off, is displayed for three consecutive days," said Aboe.

"Well, how do we make it deterrent. I don't ask you to use that way. But try sir if there is someone like that, show it to the public. Don't let us be distracted by things like this," he concluded.
