Advise Children Without Diagnosis, Psychiatrist Admitted to Professional Discipline Council
JAKARTA - A mother with the initials OLH together with her lawyer, Suhandi, reported a psychiatrist with the initials FMK to the Professional Discipline Assembly (MDP) for alleged violations of medical personnel procedure discipline.
OLH suspects that FMK gave his underage son high-dose sedatives without proper diagnosis.
The drugs were allegedly given based on an oral report from her ex-husband, DSD, without the child being present as a patient.
According to OLH's statement, he deeply regretted the action. He said his son's condition had now undergone a significant behavioral change.
"My son used to be a achiever, now he doesn't go to school and is easily angry," he said in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta, Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
OLH said that the adolescent psychiatrist was said to practice at one of the largest and most prestigious hospitals in Central Jakarta.
OLH also revealed that he had asked for his son's medical records directly to the FMK, but the request was rejected.
In fact, according to OLH, she is the biological mother and legal guardian as stated in the notary deed.
Through his lawyer, OLH then obtained a medical record resume that was said to have been signed by FMK. In the document it was recorded that the patient was not present and only the patient's father came.
However, the doctor is said to have concluded the patient's condition and given a number of drugs, including Cipralex (Escitalopram), Rexulti, and performed hypnosis without the knowledge and consent of the biological mother.
Based on the data in the letter Number RS.01.D.JX/2387/2025 dated February 10, 2025, it was recorded that there were 12 meetings between the FMK and the patient's father. Of these, nine visits were made without the presence of the child as a patient.
The lawyer for OLH assessed that the action was suspected of violating Article 4 paragraph (1) of the Minister of Health Regulation (PMK) Number 3 of 2025 concerning the Enforcement of Discipline of the Medical and Health Workforce Professions.
In addition, the act is also said to have the potential to violate the provisions of the Health Law and the Child Protection Law.
The complaint to the MDP was also accompanied by a letter of statement to the Indonesian Health Council stating the willingness to open medical records and follow applicable regulations.
OLH hopes that the report can be followed up so that similar incidents do not recur and provide protection for other children.
