JAKARTA - Geely Auto Indonesia invites media crews to experience the thrill of driving its latest electric car, the Geely EX2, through the Jakarta-Cibodas-Jakarta journey. The VOI team also had the opportunity to try out this model directly in a route designed to reflect everyday usage conditions.
Through this activity, Geely wants to show that the EX2 is not only comfortable to use in the city, but also reliable when faced with various road characters. From urban traffic to uphill paths with challenging contours, this electric car is claimed to be able to maintain comfort and performance consistently.

Simple design that is warmBefore discussing the driving feel, the EX2 is interesting to look at from the design side. The simplicity and warm impression are immediately felt through the Smile Front Grille which forms a soft curve resembling a smile. This element is not just aesthetics, but also gives a welcoming impression that makes EX2 feel closer to its users.
The LED Feather-Flow Headlights blend present a futuristic touch without looking excessive. Meanwhile, the four-leaf clover wheels provide an iconic and easily recognizable playful character. Overall, the EX2's exterior design combines simple lines, balanced proportions, and modern details - just enough to stand out without being aggressive, suitable for consumers who want to stand out but still elegant.
Comfortable since sitting in the back seatThe test begins with the VOI team being in the back passenger seat. The comfortable impression is immediately felt, especially from the suspension work which is able to dampen the shock well. After stopping for a moment at the rest area, it was the driver's turn to feel it directly.
In constant speed travel, the chassis and multi-link rear suspension settings work optimally to maintain vehicle balance. The damping feels soft, making medium-distance travel comfortable. This suspension character helps deal with variations in road surface, while the active safety system maintains stability and ease of control in various situations.
Throughout the journey, the Geely EX2 gives drivers a sense of confidence. This car is equipped with 12 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) functions that provide comprehensive safety support.
One of the prominent features is the 540 Transparent Chassis View, which allows drivers to see the area around the vehicle down to the body. This feature is very helpful when parking or crossing narrow roads. The small turning radius, only 4.95 meters, also makes the EX2 feel agile when maneuvering in urban traffic.
Stay stable on challenging tracksEntering the route with a more challenging road contour towards the Cibodas Botanical Garden area, the Geely EX2 still shows a tough and responsive character. Suspension tuning and proportional weight distribution produce precise control and balanced handling.
This configuration maintains traction and vehicle stability when devouring corners and changes in elevation. On the downhill section, the regenerative braking feature works by converting kinetic energy into electrical power that is returned to the battery. In addition to increasing efficiency, this system also provides a smooth and controlled braking sensation.
During the dynamic test drive session, participants were invited to experience the performance of the EX2 through a zig-zag handling simulation, suspension dynamics testing, endurance test in water conditions, to a test on an uphill road. All of these series show the stability of the vehicle supported by a sturdy body structure, active safety systems, and smooth response of the drive system.
Efficient and practical for daily needsIn terms of efficiency, the Geely EX2 supports daily usage needs with a mileage of up to 395 km and an energy consumption of 11.8 kWh/100 km (NEDC). This balance between performance and efficiency makes it relevant for urban routines.
The fast charging feature allows charging from 30 to 80 percent in about 25 minutes, providing more flexibility in travel planning. Inside the cabin, the Flyme Auto infotainment system with a 14.6-inch touchscreen, connectivity features, and mobile remote control support ease of vehicle management and daily comfort.
The spacious cabin space, luggage capacity of up to 1,320 liters, and an additional front trunk of 70 liters provide adequate storage space. The practical interior design with various smart storage spaces further strengthens the position of the Geely EX2 as a friendly electric car for work activities, families, and weekend trips.
