Thousands of TNI-Polri Personnel to Students Clean up Kuta Beach Garbage After Prabowo's Spotlight

BADUNG - A total of 2,500 personnel from the TNI, Polri, BPBD, Bali Provincial Environment Service, community, environmental community, to students cleaned up garbage on Kuta Beach, Badung Regency, Bali.

In addition to Kuta Beach, thousands of people who took part in the clean-up also cleaned up Kedonganan Beach.

From the two beaches, 10 tons of garbage were collected which was dominated by organic waste. After being collected, the garbage was transported by the Badung Regency Environment Service to be disposed of at the Suwung Landfill.

The Chief of Staff of Kodam IX/Udayana, Brigadier General TNI Taufiq Hanafi, led the cleaning at Kedonganan Beach, while the implementation at Kuta Beach was led by Irdam IX/Udayana, Brigadier General TNI Subagyo W.G.

This activity involving thousands of personnel from across various agencies was carried out as a joint effort to maintain the cleanliness and sustainability of the coastal environment of the island of Bali.

Kasdam IX/Udayana Taufiq Hanafi invited all participants to carry out cleaning the sea garbage with sincerity, spirit, and still prioritize safety factors.

He also asked that the momentum of the weather that supports it be used to the fullest so that activities can run optimally and effectively.

"Cleaning garbage on Kedonganan Beach and Kuta Beach is our shared responsibility to realize a clean, beautiful, and comfortable environment for everyone. We hope that this activity can be carried out periodically so that the cleanliness and beauty of the beaches in Bali are maintained sustainably," said Kasdam as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 3.

In carrying out the activity, various supporting facilities such as heavy equipment (beko) for dredging waste, beach cleaner vehicles, garbage trucks, and other supporting equipment were used. All personnel were divided into work sectors to ensure that beach cleaning took place in an orderly, effective, and efficient manner.

Meanwhile, the Head of the IX/Udayana Regional Command, Colonel Inf Widi Rahman, said that this volunteer work activity was a tangible manifestation of the synergy between the TNI and the National Police, local governments, and all elements of society in maintaining the sustainability of the coastal environment.

According to him, the involvement of various elements shows a shared concern about the problem of marine waste which has a wide impact.

Colonel Inf Widi Rahman emphasized that Kodam IX/Udayana is committed to supporting environmental awareness activities on an ongoing basis.

He hopes that this action can cultivate the collective awareness of the community to continue to maintain the cleanliness of the beach as a tourism asset and the pride of Bali.
