Prabowo Claimed to be More Efficient, Foreign Visits Only Use One Plane

JAKARTA - Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya confirmed that President Prabowo Subianto only uses one presidential aircraft on every foreign trip, namely the aircraft operated by Garuda Indonesia with the registration number Garuda Indonesia-1 PK-GIG.

Teddy conveyed the affirmation at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday, February 3, responding to an issue that said President Prabowo used two state aircraft on his trip abroad.

"I want to say, it is not true that the President uses two state aircraft when going abroad. In fact, since about a year ago, President Prabowo has been going abroad long distances using one aircraft, namely our national pride, Garuda Indonesia, the Boeing 777 type," said Teddy in response to a reporter's question. quoted from Antara.

He added that during President Prabowo's tenure, the number of staff who participated in the presidential entourage was actually significantly reduced.

"The presidential apparatus is now reduced. Those who need to participate, participate, and the entourage is increasingly limited. If for domestic travel, the presidential apparatus uses the Boeing TNI AU aircraft to transport the equipment and journalists," said Teddy.

On the same occasion, Teddy explained that the use of the Indonesian Air Force aircraft to transport presidential devices was in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations.

"There must be a Paspampres, protocol, presidential medical team, diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, journalists, and other supporting elements. All of this is in accordance with laws and regulations," he said.

Teddy also explained that there were several presidential aircraft used by President Prabowo according to the needs of the trip. The aircraft with the registration number PK-GRD is used for domestic flights and overseas flights with a relatively short travel time.

Meanwhile, for long-distance flights, President Prabowo uses Garuda Indonesia-1 PK-GIG. In the series of visits, generally one Boeing aircraft belonging to the Indonesian Air Force is also prepared to transport presidential equipment.
